Cumulatively for Q1 2026, total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue increased by 10.9% year-on-year, with accommodation and food service revenue up 13.3% and travel agency revenue up 12.5%. The total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue at current prices in March 2026 is estimated at 638.6 trillion dong, up 12.1% year-on-year. Specifically, revenue from gasoline and oil rose 23.3% year-on-year; food and foodstuffs rose 10.7%; garments rose 9.3%; cultural and educational goods rose 7.7%; household goods, utensils and equipment rose 7.5%; accommodation and food services rose 13.9%; travel agency services rose 11.5%; and other service groups rose 7.6%. Calculating for Q1 2026 as a whole, total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue at current prices reached about 1,902.8 trillion dong, up 10.9% year-on-year; if price effects are excluded, it rose 7%. Retail sales of goods in Q1 2026 were estimated at 1,452.4 trillion dong, accounting for 76.3% of total and up 10.9% year-on-year. Of which, revenue from garments rose 9.9% year-on-year; food and food products rose 9.8%; household goods, utensils and household equipment rose 8.2%; transport means (excluding cars) rose 5.2%; cultural and educational items rose 4.9%. By locality: Quảng Ninh up 12.8%; Bắc Ninh up 11.4%; Đồng Nai and Cần Thơ up 9.9%; Hải Phòng up 9.6%. Revenue from accommodation and food services in Q1 2026 is estimated at 234.7 trillion dong, accounting for 12.4% of the total and up 13.3% year-on-year. By locality: Đà Nẵng up 18.1%; Cần Thơ up 15.1%; Hải Phòng up 14.7%; TP.HCM up 11.3%; Hà Nội up 8.6%. Revenue from travel and tourism in Q1 2026 is estimated at 22.9 trillion dong, accounting for 1.2% of the total and up 12.5% year-on-year due to higher domestic and international tourist arrivals during the New Year holidays. By locality: Khánh Hòa up 30.7%; An Giang up 25.8%; Quảng Ninh up 24.2%; TP.HCM up 12.9%; Hà Nội up 8.2%. Revenue from other services in Q1 2026 is estimated at 192.8 trillion dong, accounting for 10.1% of the total and up 8% year-on-year. By locality: Gia Lai up 19.4%; Bắc Ninh up 17.8%; Ninh Bình up 16.9%; Khánh Hòa up 15.2%.
