Da Nang city statistics indicate that gross regional domestic product (GRDP) for Q1 2026 is estimated to rise by 8.45% year on year, reflecting a recovery trend in the city’s economy amid a volatile external environment.
In the 8.45% increase, the service sector contributed 5.25 percentage points; the industrial and construction sector contributed 2.72 points; and the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector contributed 0.22 points.
Within services, commerce and services continued to recover and grew positively, pointing to higher consumer demand and tourism.
At current prices, the estimated size of the economy in Q1 2026 was 75,594 billion VND, expanding by 8,013 billion VND compared with the same period in 2025. The service sector increased by 4,782 billion VND; the industrial and construction sector by 1,776 billion VND; the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector by 331 billion VND; and product taxes minus subsidies by 1,124 billion VND.
In the economy’s structure, there was a slight shift compared with Q1 2025. The service sector’s share increased from 57.34% to 57.59% of GRDP. Product taxes minus subsidies accounted for 12.42%, higher than 12.23% in Q1 2025. Meanwhile, the industrial and construction sector’s share declined slightly from 24.78% to 24.50%, and the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector fell to 5.49%.
Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in Q1 2026 were estimated at 66,154 billion VND, up 16.2% year on year. Total wholesale turnover was estimated at 53,166 billion VND, up 13.1% year on year.
The industrial–construction sector remained a major growth driver. The Industrial Production Index (IIP) rose 12.1% year on year. In Q1 2026, the value of construction production at current prices reached 14,022 billion VND, up 20.2% year on year.
In Q1, total state budget revenue for the city up to March 25, 2026 was about 17,080 billion VND, up 26.5% year on year. Central budget receipts were 3,964 billion VND, while local budget receipts were 13,115 billion VND.
Domestic revenue remained the main source, reaching 15,947 billion VND and accounting for 93.4% of total revenue, indicating a stable revenue base and supporting budget balance in 2026.
