On May 12, 2026, in Hanoi, a signing ceremony for a Technical Services Contract and Strategic Cooperation was held to prepare for the operation of Gia Bình International Airport.
Masterise Group, a national flagship brand, has been entrusted by the Government and the Ministry of Public Security to implement the project to develop Gia Bình International Airport into a new-generation aviation symbol in Vietnam. The signing was carried out by Masterise Aviation Infrastructure (MAI), a member of the Masterise Group, together with daa International Limited.
The event was attended by Deirdre Ní Fhallúin, Ireland's ambassador to Vietnam; representatives from the Ministry of Public Security; the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam; and senior leaders from daa International and Masterise Group.
Gia Bình International Airport is designed under a smart, green, modern model meeting new-generation international standards. The project is intended to enhance infrastructure capacity and form an integrated aviation economy ecosystem linked to commerce, services and urban development, aligned with development needs and Vietnam’s position during the transition.
The airport’s expected capacity is 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tons of goods per year by 2030. A long-term vision targets 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tons of goods by 2050. Operational capacity is identified as a key factor to ensure service quality and user experience, approaching international standards.
Under the agreement, the project operation team is expected to bring together senior leaders and global experts who have directly operated and developed major international airports, including Hamad (Qatar), Changi (Singapore), Heathrow (UK) and Munich (Germany). The cooperation is aimed at building operating models and implementing operations for a high-class international airport, with experiences designed to fit the ambition of developing a modern, pioneering airport model globally.
The partnership is also intended to enable Gia Bình International Airport to access best practice from the outset and progressively build internal capacity through training and transfer, targeting efficient and sustainable operations over the long term.
Vu Hoang Long, CEO of Masterise Aviation Infrastructure, said: “Today's signing marks the start of a new approach to developing aviation infrastructure in Vietnam. We are not just building an airport, but shaping an aviation economy hub where passengers, goods and high-value economic activities converge. Operational capacity plays a crucial role, and the partnership with daa International is the foundation for us to gradually build and develop operating capabilities to international standards.”
Masterise Group reaffirmed its position as a pioneering national brand with a long-term vision of building a world-class five-star ecosystem and delivering a comprehensive experience for customers. The group also highlighted technology application, including digital platforms and AI, as part of efforts to support a new growth era and Vietnam’s aspiration to reach global economic prominence.
Masterise Aviation Infrastructure (MAI) is a subsidiary within the Masterise Group ecosystem, operating in airport infrastructure and services. MAI’s development orientation includes not only investment and development of airports, but also building a modern aviation economy ecosystem comprising services, facilities and related experiences, with the aim of improving connectivity and supporting national infrastructure and transport strategies in the context of integration.
