Hanoi-based iHanoi has introduced a new feature called “Feedback Map” within the iHanoi app to collect, monitor, and display residents’ feedback and petitions by commune/ward. The tool provides visual data on the number of submissions from each locality, aiming to improve transparency in how Hanoi City receives and handles residents’ concerns.
Since the official operation of Vietnam’s two-tier local government model, Hanoi has received more than 94,000 feedbacks and petitions through the iHanoi app. With the launch of “Feedback Map,” the city is extending digitization across the process of tracking, supervising, and evaluating the effectiveness of feedback handling at all administrative levels.
According to the article, 75% of feedback and petitions on iHanoi have been received and processed since July 1, 2025. The “Feedback Map” updates data on feedback and petitions by commune/ward across the city and allows users to view statistics by overall volume and by status, including:
On the app’s home screen, users select the “Feedback, petitions” utility and then open the “Feedback Map” feature. The map presents geographic visualizations intended to help identify “hot spots” in citizens’ concerns.
Instead of relying on traditional lists that can be scattered or harder to interpret, the geographic visualization enables management agencies to monitor urban dynamics more directly. By examining data points on the digital map, authorities can pinpoint areas with higher density of feedback, supporting earlier intervention rather than waiting until issues become more complex.
From an urban digital transformation perspective, the “Feedback Map” is presented not only as a technical tool but as part of Hanoi’s broader digital ecosystem for governance. The feature is described as a step toward a smart city model that places residents at the center, uses data as a foundation, and supports an open and transparent approach to responding to evolving local realities.
Publicly sharing and visualizing feedback indicators by geographic area is also positioned as a way to help the administration operate more smoothly while strengthening public trust in Hanoi’s efforts to build a modern, civilized city.
