On April 6, the Hanoi Police will announce information about the case involving violations of accounting regulations at Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd., located in Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi. On April 4, the Hanoi Police sent invitations to media outlets to attend a press information conference on the city’s security and order in Q1/2026 and a number of representative cases in the city. The conference is scheduled for the afternoon of April 6. At the conference, the Hanoi Police will provide information on several typical cases in the city during the recent period, including: - The case of violations of regulations on food safety, abuse of office and powers, and misappropriation of assets; forgery in performance of duties, occurring in Hanoi and other localities; - The case of violations of accounting regulations at Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd., Hai Ba Trung Ward, Hanoi; - The case of illegal possession of narcotics, organization of illicit drug use, bribery, receiving bribes, brokerage of bribes, abuse of power in the course of official duties, falsification of case records, gambling, detected on June 7, 2025 at the Central Institute of Mental Health and several local units; - The case involving individuals using the guise of mental health treatment at the Central Institute of Mental Health to commit crimes including buying, possessing, and distributing illegal drugs, and illegal possession of military weapons; - Warnings about the methods used by foreign nationals in the city to commit fraud to seize assets, and cross-border gambling operations.
