On May 13, the Bắc Trạch Commune Police in Quảng Trị Province said they had helped a resident recover 300 million VND that was accidentally transferred to an unfamiliar account during a banking transaction.
Previously, Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Hòa, residing in Thanh Hải village, Bắc Trạch, reported to the commune police that during a banking transaction she inadvertently transferred 300 million VND to an unknown account.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Bắc Trạch Police quickly implemented verification measures and coordinated with the bank to determine the recipient’s account information, noting that the sum was large and directly affected the resident’s livelihood.
In the presence of the commune police, Mrs. Hòa recovered the full 300 million VND previously transferred in error. After the successful recovery, she sent a letter of thanks to the Bắc Trạch Police, expressing appreciation for the timely assistance.
From the case, the police cautioned residents to carefully check the account number, beneficiary name, and transaction details to avoid mistakes.
If a transfer is made in error, residents should promptly contact the bank and report to the police to receive timely assistance.
