On March 27 in Ho Chi Minh City, OnPoint and Byte Media announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a strategic partnership in social commerce, with a focus on expanding deployment capabilities and driving growth on the TikTok Shop platform.
The announcement comes as social commerce continues to grow rapidly, requiring brands to coordinate activities across content, operations, media and technology. The two parties said they expect the collaboration to optimize implementation for businesses, particularly in large-scale commerce campaigns.
Under the collaboration, OnPoint and Byte Media will develop social commerce solutions for enterprise customers. The scope includes enhancing livestreaming services with technology support, expanding the affiliate and creator ecosystem, and deploying media solutions under an omnichannel model.
The partnership also covers video content formats, ranging from long-form content to AI-generated content (AIGC).
For the SMB segment, the two sides aim to build an automated deployment model that combines media deployment strategy with AI-powered content development. The objective is to optimize costs and accelerate operations.
Beyond the domestic market, the partnership targets expansion into international markets. Byte Media currently participates in several developing TikTok Shop markets, including North America, Europe and Latin America (LATAM), which the companies described as regions with growth potential for a content- and creator-based commerce model.
OnPoint said it will focus its expansion efforts in the U.S. market in 2026, while continuing to explore opportunities in other regional markets.
The two sides also aim to build an operating system that can scale across borders, linking brands, content creators and consumers. Standardizing deployment models across multiple markets is expected to improve efficiency and lay the foundation for long-term growth.
Representatives from the companies said the collaboration is intended to become a strategic partner in TikTok Shop’s international expansion roadmap and to contribute to the broader development of the social commerce ecosystem.
