Local police in Yen Xuan commune rescued a girl who had been lured away by online scammers promising high wages for easy work.
On April 18, Yen Xuan Commune Police (Nghe An Province) said the unit coordinated promptly to rescue a girl who was duped by online scammers and taken from her locality.
Earlier on April 15, Mr. N.N.C reported to Yen Xuan Commune Police that his daughter, N.A.T (born 2011), had abruptly run away from home.
Investigators found that the girl had been contacted via social media by a stranger. The person messaged and called her, enticing her with promises of a job in Bac Ninh with an attractive salary.
Recognizing the situation as a dangerous fraud, commune police deployed professional measures and coordinated with relevant forces to track the girl.
After urgent verification, police determined that N.A.T was aboard a passenger bus on the Con Cuong – Hanoi route. With timely intervention, she was helped to return safely to her family.
Following the incident, the police urged parents to pay closer attention to their children’s online interactions, warning to be vigilant against offers of “easy work with high pay” to avoid regrettable consequences.
