At a press briefing on the progress of investigations for Q1 2026, the Ministry of Public Security provided updates on investigations related to the Mailisa ecosystem, Hoang Huong Pharmaceuticals, and ACV. Lieutenant General Le Van Tan, Deputy Chief of the Office for the Investigation Police, and Major Ho Van Hung, Deputy Head of the Department for Anti-Corruption, Economics and Smuggling, reported on the status of the cases.
In the Hoang Huong case, the Investigation Police have indicted seven defendants for violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences.
Investigators have requested forensic evaluation of products within the Hoang Thi Huong ecosystem. However, due to the large volume of products and differing expert opinions on test results, no final conclusions have been reached yet.
For the Mailisa ecosystem case, after the case was filed and eight defendants were indicted—including Phan Thi Mai, Director of Mailisa Aesthetics Co., Ltd.—the Bureau collected samples of all products sold within the Mailisa ecosystem for forensic testing to determine the legality of the alleged acts.
As of the briefing, there are no finalized forensic results.
To date, the investigation has recovered over VND 300 billion, USD 400,000, and 300 taels of SJC gold. It has also recovered more than 100 land-use certificates, more than 12 vehicle registrations, and other assets valued to support the investigation and case processing.
Major Ho Van Hung also provided updates on the case at the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV). The Investigation Police have charged the case and charged defendants with three offenses: violations of procurement regulations causing serious consequences; offering bribes; and receiving bribes.
The force said it is focusing on expanding the investigation, clarifying the wrongdoing and the resultant harm, and pursuing involved individuals and accomplices when results from forensic work are available.
Colonel Nguyen Duc Long, Deputy Director of Hanoi Police, provided additional information on the Nguyen Hoa Binh (Shark Bình) case. He said that after sufficient documents and evidence were gathered, in October 2025 Hanoi Police initiated a criminal case and charged Nguyen Hoa Binh together with 10 others.
The alleged offenses include fraud, violations of accounting regulations causing serious consequences, and tax evasion.
Investigators have seized cash, gold, and real estate assets valued at over VND 900 billion to help mitigate losses for investors.
The briefing also covered updates related to money-laundering allegations involving Nguyen Hoa Binh in connection with the Phó Đức Nam case.
