According to a report released by the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance) on the morning of 4 April 2026, merchandise exports and imports in March reached 93.55 billion USD, up 39.2% from the previous month and up 23.9% year-on-year.
In the first quarter of 2026, total merchandise trade reached 249.50 billion USD, up 23.0% year-on-year. Exports rose 19.1%, while imports increased 27.0%.
Merchandise exports in March reached 46.44 billion USD, up 40.3% from the previous month. Of this total, the domestic economy contributed 8.96 billion USD, up 39.2%, while the foreign-invested sector (including crude oil) contributed 37.48 billion USD, up 40.6%.
Compared with March 2025, March exports rose 20.1%. The domestic sector declined 20.1%, while the foreign-invested sector (including crude oil) increased 36.5%.
