Sacombank (STB) has decided to seize collateral securing Bamboo Airways’ non-performing debt, according to a notice published by the bank’s Debt Recovery Department - Risk Management Division.
On March 20, Sacombank issued Notice 409/TB-P.XLN requesting the borrower/holder of the collateral to voluntarily hand over the collateral and the related legal documents for debt resolution by March 27. The bank said the borrower/guarantor or collateral holder did not comply with the obligation as required.
As a result, on March 31 Sacombank decided to seize the collateral for Bamboo Airways’ bad debt.
The seized assets include land-use rights totaling 86,308.9 square meters, comprising 86,267.5 square meters of rural land and 41.4 square meters of urban land, across 355 land-use certificates (red books).
The collateral also includes ownership rights to the house and other attached assets located in the Khu C - Khu biệt thự nhà ở area within the Dak Đoa residential complex (now Dak Đoa commune, Gia Lai province). The assets were issued by the Gia Lai Department of Natural Resources and Environment on September 9, 2021.
The owner of the real estate is FLC Group Joint Stock Company. The land-use term runs until July 27, 2071.
Sacombank carried out the seizure from April 22 to June 22. The bank requested that, within 15 days from receiving the notice, the collateral holder cooperate to hand over the collateral to Sacombank.
Sacombank said the seizure was carried out because the borrower and guarantor violated debt obligations and collateral obligations under the credit agreements and mortgage contracts.
