Samsung on February 26 officially launched the Galaxy S26 series in Vietnam, with the top variant priced at around 52 million dong. The lineup includes three models with different display sizes, feature sets, and performance configurations, while Samsung highlights its Galaxy AI platform and cross-device automation.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra, the flagship model, comes with a 6.9-inch OLED display and supports the S Pen stylus. It also includes the Privacy Display feature designed to help protect users’ personal information.
Samsung says the S26 Ultra camera system has been upgraded with a 200-megapixel main sensor and 5x optical zoom, aimed at improving photo and video quality.
Samsung also emphasizes advanced artificial intelligence (AI) integration to optimize the user experience. The Nightography feature is positioned for clearer video shooting in low-light conditions. Photo Assist and Creative Studio are described as AI-based tools for photo editing, with Samsung stating they support unlimited creativity for users.
For performance, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. The other two models use the Exynos 2600 SoC, according to Samsung.
Samsung also focuses on connectivity within the Galaxy ecosystem. The Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro are designed to optimize audio when used with Galaxy S26, featuring active noise cancellation and adaptive EQ. Samsung additionally introduced the Galaxy AI platform with cross-device task automation.
Battery capacities for the three models are listed as 4300 mAh for the Galaxy S26, 4900 mAh for the Galaxy S26+, and 5000 mAh for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. All models support 25W wireless charging. Wired charging is rated at 25W for the Galaxy S26, 45W for the Galaxy S26+, and 60W for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The series ships with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.
Prices for the Galaxy S26 series in Vietnam range from 25,990,000 dong for the Galaxy S26 to 29,990,000 dong for the Galaxy S26 Plus, and 36,990,000 dong for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The most expensive variant, Galaxy S26 Ultra (16GB+1TB), is priced at 51,990,000 dong.
Preorder promotions include vouchers and trade-in credits up to 8 million dong depending on the storage version, according to a CellphoneS representative. The same source said the Galaxy S26 series does not change much in design, but improvements in build quality and optimization of new Galaxy AI tasks enhance features.
On sales expectations, it is predicted that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will account for about 75% of sales, while the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 together will account for about 25%. The purple Colbat and blue Sky Blue colors are expected to be the most popular choices.
Forum administrator Mr. Tran Duc Trung of the Tinhte forum noted that Samsung is emphasizing the Galaxy AI platform, including agent AI capable of performing sequences of tasks across devices. He also referenced Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in February 2026 ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, which he said helped lay groundwork for early media coverage.
The article also states that MWC remains a platform for Samsung to secure carrier deals and strengthen its position against rivals, while supporting B2B ambitions related to network infrastructure and the 6G roadmap.
