SeABank announced that it received a commendation from the Ministry of Public Security for outstanding achievements in the 2025 "All People Protect National Security" campaign. The Economic Security Department of the Ministry also awarded a Certificate of Commendation to three SeABank leaders for their achievements in this campaign.
The three SeABank leaders who received the Certificate of Commendation were: Mr. Le Van Tan – Chairman of the Board; Ms. Le Thu Thuy – Vice Chairwoman; Mr. Vu Dinh Khoan – Deputy General Director.
Given the specific nature of the banking-finance sector, SeABank's contribution to security lies in proactively coordinating with authorities to ensure economic security, safe banking operations, and contributing to the maintenance of social order and safety. To counter high-tech crime, SeABank intends to enhance security solutions and fraud controls. The bank regularly cooperates with police at all levels to share information, warn of security risks, and also conducts internal training on system security and legal compliance for staff.
Security and safety are increasingly tied to financial banking activities, where banks not only serve as payment intermediaries but also help customers be safer during transactions. Besides SeABank, two other state-owned commercial banks were honored in the same category: Agribank and Vietcombank. As one of the speakers at the conference, Agribank stated that it has strengthened cooperation with the police to ensure security and safe banking operations; built self-protection and self-management models; and boosted information exchange to prevent, detect, and address violations of banking law. The bank also emphasizes raising awareness among staff about protecting state secrets, information security, and countering high-tech crime.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Sỹ Quang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Economic Security Department, called for continued cooperation between the police and enterprises to proactively respond to new risks, especially in the context of high-tech crime and increasingly complex violations of economic security.
The commendations recognize SeABank's efforts to cooperate with authorities to ensure economic security and safe banking operations, including information sharing and training on security and compliance for staff.
