T&T Group, led by entrepreneur Do Quang Hien, has officially broken ground on the Vam Cong Industrial Park in An Giang Province. The project covers 199.2 hectares with a total investment of 4,800 billion VND and is positioned as a next-generation industrial park oriented toward green, modern, multifunctional and sustainable development in the Mekong Delta region.
The Vam Cong Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Project, led by T&T Group, was approved in principle by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 890/QD-TTg dated July 25, 2022. The industrial park spans 199.2 hectares and is located at the southeastern gateway of Long Xuyen city, an area noted for infrastructure connectivity and trade advantages for An Giang Province.
The project sits on both sides of the bypass of National Highway 91, which functions as an important ring road. This placement is intended to support connections to the city’s central area while maintaining separation from residential zones for modern industrial development.
The industrial park is designed with multi-modal connectivity to regional transport infrastructure. It is about 3.5 km from the Western North-South Expressway, with connections to the Chau Doc–Can Tho–Soc Trang expressway, creating fast transport corridors to Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Tran De port and other major economic centers.
In addition, the park directly connects to My Thoi Port, a logistics hub on the Hau River with projected capacity of about 1.5 million tons per year, supporting the movement of large-volume goods at optimized costs. The project also connects to the international inland waterway transport system and links to Can Tho International Airport within a 50–55 km distance, helping complete the region’s multi-modal transport network.
The Vam Cong Industrial Park is planned under the ECOTECH 21 model, described as a green, ecological, high-tech economy for the 21st century. The project aims to become a green, multifunctional, next-generation industrial park.
Its overall space is organized to harmonize production zones, logistics zones and ecological spaces. More than 30 hectares are allocated for logistics services, while green spaces and water bodies account for over 22% of the total area, intended to support a sustainable production environment.
In line with the project orientation, the industrial park plans to prioritize high-tech industries, food processing and agro–aquaculture, logistics, apparel and footwear, building materials manufacturing, and information technology and electronics, among others—aligned with An Giang’s development advantages and the Mekong Delta’s regional economic shift.
When operational, the park is expected to create jobs for about 7,800 workers, contributing to enhanced investment attraction and supporting the development of processing, logistics and high value-added services.
At the groundbreaking ceremony on March 30, 2026, in My Thoi Ward, An Giang Province, Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, said the Vam Cong Industrial Park is one of the group’s key projects in the Mekong Delta. He described it as a gateway industrial park of Long Xuyen, symbolizing a shift from traditional agriculture to modern, high value-added industry.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan stated: “With a strategic location, multi-modal connectivity, and the pioneering ECOTECH 21 model, T&T Group expects Vam Cong Industrial Park to become a green manufacturing and modern logistics hub in the region, contributing to the economic structure shift, enhancing supply chain value, and making tangible contributions to the development of An Giang Province as well as the Mekong Delta in this new era.”
Ho Van Mun, Politburo member and Chairman of the An Giang Province People’s Committee, said the project aligns with An Giang’s socio-economic development orientation and the province’s investment-attraction priorities for 2025–2030 and beyond. The project’s implementation is intended to realize Decision 890/QD-TTg by building a modern, synchronized industrial park.
He added that when operational, the project is expected to create new growth momentum, provide local employment, and attract additional secondary investors to An Giang, supporting the province’s socio-economic development.
The chairman also noted that the project’s implementation and completion will reaffirm An Giang Province’s policy to reform administrative procedures, improve the investment climate, attract investment and develop the private sector in line with Politburo Resolution 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025.
The groundbreaking event also continues T&T Group’s track record in developing industrial infrastructure. Previously, the group broke ground for the Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster—Phase 1, covering 41.7 hectares in Hanoi, and has been building a nationwide chain of industrial parks with a modern, synchronized and sustainable approach.
During the ceremony, T&T Group donated nearly 1 billion VND to support 30% of the 2026 health insurance card value for poor households in the wards/communes of Long Xuyen, My Thoi, Binh Duc and My Hoa Hung, helping ensure residents in the area have health insurance in line with government policy.
