Two major shareholders of Novaland (NVL)—NovaGroup and Diamond Properties—have been subjected to margin-call selling of NVL shares by a securities company, with total sales of more than 1.2 million shares reported.
NovaGroup reported margin-call selling of 760,956 NVL shares from April 10 to 13, 2026, executed via a matching method. The sales reduced NovaGroup’s ownership from 491.8 million shares (22.01%) to 491.07 million shares (21.97%).
Diamond Properties reported margin-call selling of 426,135 NVL shares on April 13, 2026. The transaction reduced its stake from 170.46 million shares (7.62%) to 170.04 million shares (7.61%).
NovaGroup and Diamond Properties are linked to Mr. Bui Thanh Nhon, Chairman of Novaland.
Earlier, on March 20, NovaGroup reported margin-call selling of 31,069 NVL shares via matching.
Diamond Properties has also reported stake-reduction selling. Most recently, from March 17 to 19, 2026, it traded 930,800 NVL shares out of 2.15 million registered; the deal was not completed due to plan changes.
In a separate note, Novaland said it will hold its 2026 annual general meeting on the afternoon of April 23 at the Clubhouse – NovaWorld Phan Thiet Golf Club.
According to meeting documents, Novaland sets a 2026 revenue target of 22,715 billion dong and after-tax profit of 1,852 billion dong. The revenue target is roughly three times last year’s revenue, while after-tax profit is 0.5% lower than last year’s net profit.
On profit distribution, Novaland does not plan to pay dividends for 2025 and 2026.
Regarding equity issuance, the report indicates that no private placements or debt swaps were completed in 2025. For 2026, the board plans to pursue private placement and debt swap options, with an issue price not lower than the 30-day average closing price. The previously disclosed plan set the issue price at 10,000 dong per share.
To maximize value, the board proposes continuing the private placement plan with an adjusted share count of up to 800 million shares, to be executed in 2026 or as decided by the board.
At the AGM, Novaland will seek approval for the resignation of three board members, including the chairman, and the appointment of two new board members and one independent director.
The two remaining board members are Dương Văn Bắc and Phạm Thị Hồng Nhung.
