V-Green signed a cooperation agreement to deploy electric-vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and battery-swapping kiosks at the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist site in Da Nang on April 21, aiming to improve convenience for VinFast EV users.
The signing ceremony marks the start of a plan to integrate EV infrastructure across Sun Group destinations nationwide to support users of VinFast vehicles. In the initial phase, V-Green Joint Stock Company, a developer of global EV charging stations, and Ba Na Cable Car Services Joint Stock Company (part of Sun Group) will install 20 EV charging pillars and 2 battery-swapping cabinets for electric motorcycles at Sun World Ba Na Hills.
V-Green said the system will operate 24/7 to assist EV owners during visits to Ba Na. After the initial phase, the two parties will continue to survey and expand the charging-station network and battery-swapping cabinets at other locations within the Sun Group system, based on actual conditions and market demand.
The companies said that bringing clean-energy infrastructure into the tourism complex supports their shared vision of reducing emissions and protecting the environment.
Mr. Nguyen Lam An, CEO of Ba Na Cable Car Services JSC, said the partnership with V-Green to expand the charging network and battery-swapping cabinets aligns with the company’s strategy to adapt to the global green-tourism trend. “Integrating these modern facilities at Sun World Ba Na Hills will provide a better experience for visitors and contribute meaningfully to Sun Group’s sustainable development goals in Da Nang,” he said.
Mr. Dang Thanh Tung, Development Director of V-Green Network, said that deploying infrastructure at a destination like Sun World Ba Na Hills reflects the company’s commitment to delivering flexible charging and battery-swapping infrastructure, helping position Vietnam as a green-development model in the region.
Operating since 2009, Sun World Ba Na Hills is among Vietnam’s best-known tourist destinations and has been named Asia’s leading theme park by World Travel Awards six times in a row. V-Green has also continued signing agreements with major partners to expand its network of charging stations and battery-swapping cabinets for VinFast electric vehicles nationwide.
V-Green currently operates more than 150,000 VinFast EV charging ports, with plans to complete 60,000 battery-swapping cabinets for electric motorcycles in Q2.
