Vietcombank, Vietnam’s state-owned joint-stock commercial bank, has announced branch-level recruitment for the first phase of 2026, with targets spread across its nationwide network. The bank will run two recruitment tracks: one for ordinary candidates and another for candidates meeting the “excellent student” criterion.
For ordinary candidates, the process includes a professional knowledge test and an interview. For candidates who meet the “excellent student” requirement, the knowledge test is waived and only one interview is required.
The bank defines “excellent students” as those who graduate with top marks within 12 months of the degree conferment, from six universities: National Economics University, Foreign Trade University Hanoi, Financial Academy, Banking Academy, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.
Applicants must also meet language requirements (IELTS 7.0, TOEIC 785, TOEFL 550, CEFR C1 or equivalent) and hold a Bank IT or equivalent certificate.
Online applications for non-experienced positions close on 12 April 2026. For experienced roles, the deadline is 31 December 2026, or earlier if all targets are filled.
The recruitment plan covers 524 targets across 85 branches nationwide. Of these, 458 are non-experienced positions and 66 are experienced roles.
Ho Chi Minh City accounts for the largest demand. The Ho Chi Minh City branch plans to recruit up to 110 staff, including 95 Customer specialists and 15 inexperienced Accounting/Front Office staff.
In the North, the Hanoi Trading Office offers 6 no-experience Customer positions. Other Hanoi branches include Dong Anh (10 positions) and Hanoi (11 positions). Adjacent provinces such as Hung Yen also show significant demand, with 10 no-experience Customer roles.
Vietcombank states that applications are restricted to graduates from regular, full-time university programs. Distance-learning, part-time, second degrees, or mixed study are not accepted.
A master’s degree is preferred. Applicants may apply to only one position at one branch; submitting applications to two positions will result in disqualification.
The bank also notes that no recruitment fees are charged.
