On May 11, 2026, Viettel Group (Military Industry and Telecommunications) launched the Viettel Talent 2026 talent program, with participation of more than 800 outstanding trainees in strategic technology fields. The trainees were selected from 12,000 applications submitted nationwide.
Viettel Talent combines two talent development programs: Viettel Digital Talent (Talent Intern – VDT) and Viettel Future Changemakers (Associate Managers – VFC). Viettel said 2026 is the first year both programs are implemented simultaneously, with the goal of building an ecosystem to develop young technology talent.
Viettel Digital Talent is an annual technology-focused training and development program organized since 2021, designed and taught by Viettel’s industry experts. From 2021 to 2025, the program attracted more than 12,000 applications, nearly 1,200 interns participated, and more than 400 students became Viettel employees while still in school. Viettel described it as one of the largest and highest-quality technology internship programs, contributing to the training of a high-quality technology workforce.
Viettel Future Changemakers trains personnel for technology project management. After two seasons held in 2024 and 2025, the program recorded nearly 3,000 applications. Viettel said many top-level managers were signed to long-term training contracts and gradually took on important roles in Viettel’s products and services.
Viettel said the combined launch of VDT and VFC marks a strategic milestone in building a talent ecosystem for key technology fields, covering both expertise and governance.
With Viettel Talent 2026, the company said young talents can build industry connections, learn from practical insights shared by former-year students, mentors, and Viettel’s leading technology experts, and engage with leadership’s strategy for developing technology.
Viettel said interest in the 2026 program is reflected in nearly 12,000 applications from 13 countries: Vietnam, Australia, Canada, the United States, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Russia, Finland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, and Hungary. Among the applications, the professional training track recorded nearly 8,800 applications, up 53% compared with 2025, while the management training track attracted nearly 3,000 applications, up 45%.
Viettel also stated that applications are of high quality, including academic backgrounds and research capability, with many applicants holding national or international prizes and publishing international papers.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Lt. General Tao Duc Thang, a member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group, said Viettel places technology and innovation at the core of its operations and directly participates in key national sectors such as digital infrastructure, digital services, artificial intelligence, and logistics.
He said Viettel’s talent programs originate from the goal of connecting schools with businesses, creating conditions for young people to access an environment to research, operate, and develop technology from an early age. Viettel noted that in previous years, many students created real products that continue to serve people in Vietnam, and it expects to deliver more products in 2026.
Viettel said five seasons of Viettel Digital Talent (2021–2025) and two seasons of Viettel Future Changemakers (2024–2025) have affirmed the role of developing high-quality human resources for Viettel and Vietnam. The company said the programs offer opportunities for students to participate directly in technology and governance issues of strategic national importance, including digital infrastructure, digital services, artificial intelligence, and logistics. Viettel said thousands of tech talents have been trained and later joined as staff, continuing to contribute to Viettel’s core projects and products.
Carrying forward these results, Viettel Talent 2026 is described as the next development step in Viettel’s strategy to build a talent ecosystem, contributing to the development of technology human resources for the country in the new era.
