WhiteBIT, described as the largest European cryptocurrency exchange by traffic, and FC Barcelona have entered a five-year partnership agreement running through 2030, the companies announced to Finbold on Monday, April 27.
Under the agreement, WhiteBIT becomes FC Barcelona’s Official Cryptocurrency Exchange Partner. The partnership extends across the club’s men’s first football team, women’s team, and basketball team, and includes collaboration with the Barça Innovation Hub.
The companies said the partnership is intended to move beyond brand visibility toward developing real-world crypto applications that can scale across the sports industry. The collaboration will focus on initiatives related to fan engagement, digital education, and interactive experiences, aiming to make crypto tools more accessible and practical for a global fan base.
As outlined in the announcement, the partnership will prioritize:

Volodymyr Nosov, President and Founder of W Group, which includes WhiteBIT, added: “Our mission is to support the mass adoption of crypto by bringing technology to everyone, everywhere. Together with Barça, we are taking crypto beyond the industry and into everyday life—creating experiences that millions of fans can actually use. This is how adoption happens.”
As part of the partnership, WhiteBIT and FC Barcelona will introduce an FC Barcelona–themed design for the WhiteBIT Nova debit card. The customized card will allow fans to use crypto for everyday payments while featuring the club’s visual identity.
The card will also include fan-focused benefits, with additional features and partner advantages expected to be introduced as the collaboration develops.
The new agreement builds on the companies’ existing relationship, which began three years ago. The announcement said the renewed partnership will scale previous initiatives related to Web3 adoption, fan engagement, and digital activations into longer-term projects integrated more deeply within FC Barcelona’s ecosystem.
