World Network has unveiled an upgraded version of World ID, positioning the protocol as a full-stack solution for cryptographic proof-of-human verification in the age of AI. Announced at the Lift Off event in San Francisco, the refreshed system shifts to an account-based architecture designed to improve security, portability, and usability for both enterprises and individual users.
World Network said the update represents the biggest evolution of World ID since its launch, enabling private and verifiable confirmation that a real, unique person is behind online actions without compromising anonymity or collecting personal data.
World Network’s update includes several technical improvements aimed at strengthening reliability for high-volume deployments. The company highlighted support for key rotation, account recovery, multi-key authentication, and session management.
The protocol also introduces new one-time-use nullifiers intended to further bolster anonymity protections. In addition, World Network said an open-source SDK allows applications to act as World ID authenticators.
Alongside the protocol changes, World introduced the World ID app, a dedicated mobile experience now in public beta. The app is designed to help users manage and apply their proof-of-human credentials across the web.
The upgrade is accompanied by a set of integrations intended to extend proof-of-human verification into areas of the internet where bot activity and trust issues are common. World said it is partnering with platforms to combat bots, enable secure agentic workflows, and restore trust in daily digital interactions.
In the agentic web—where AI agents handle browsing, API calls, purchases, and complex tasks—World ID is presented as a set of primitives for agent delegation, human-in-the-loop verification, and agentic commerce.
World said these tools are powered by World’s AgentKit, enabling agents to carry cryptographically attested human backing for actions ranging from transactions to sensitive operations.
For business applications, World Network said the new World ID introduces “human continuity,” described as a missing element in traditional security systems that verify devices or accounts rather than people.
On the consumer side, World ID is being embedded into platforms to support privacy-first verification of real people.
For live events, World Network introduced a Concert Kit tool that reserves tickets exclusively for verified humans. The company said it launches alongside the Bruno Mars World Tour (with DJ Pee Wee/Anderson .Paak), offering VIP access at select stops and aiming to protect against scalper bots.
World Network said the combination of a production-ready protocol upgrade and strategic partnerships is intended to accelerate proof-of-human adoption at scale.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
