Cam Ranh Beach is located in Cam Lâm commune, Khánh Hòa Province. The highlight of Cam Ranh is Long Beach, with a 16-kilometer curved coastline near the airport. The sea is clear, the white sand shores, and the waves are not too strong; Cam Ranh is likened to Vietnam's precious gem. Here a tourism ecosystem with full services and a range of experiences has formed. Cam Ranh has appeared on the world tourism map after National Geographic named Long Beach as one of the world's top 10 beaches; Cam Ranh Bay is considered one of the world's most beautiful natural bays, alongside San Francisco (USA) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). In 2018, Condé Nast Traveler recommended readers consider a vacation in Cam Ranh because of its beaches and about 300 sunny days a year. ABC's The Bachelor dating show chose a resort in Cam Ranh as a backdrop. Visitors are advised to visit Cam Ranh from February to August when the weather is sunny and the sea is calm. The latter months of the year are the rainy season in Cam Ranh, but rain often occurs only in the late afternoon and rarely continuously. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 2025 Khánh Hòa welcomed 16.4 million visitors, up 14.38% from 2024; international visitors reached 5.5 million, signaling a strong recovery of key markets. This result pushed total tourism revenue to 66.7 trillion dong, up 16.84% and it plays a key role in the province's GRDP structure. Many leading hotel brands such as JW Marriott, Mövenpick, Wyndham, Ana Mandara, Radisson Blu, Westin, Fusion, Melia... as well as well-known brands like The Anam, Alma, Riviera, Selectum Noa, Duyên Hà... have luxury resorts on the Cam Ranh coast. This year, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh's 'Move with the Summer Groove' festival series opens a colorful summer, with events spanning May to October designed for visitors of all ages. Throughout the summer, the 'Move with the Summer Groove' events include: - May – Art from recycled materials: starting the summer with creative journeys inspired by nature and the green living message; guests will explore artworks from recycled materials, participate in crafts, and spread environmental awareness through art. - June – Ocean Journey: an inspiring voyage amid the ocean with water sports, lively pool parties, and tasting experiences featuring the sea's flavors from coastlines around Cam Ranh. - July – Chocolate Festival: the world of chocolate as showcased by Mövenpick through sweet experiences, Chocolate Hour, chocolate-making classes, and family-friendly interactive activities. - August – Swiss Summer Festival: celebrating Mövenpick's Swiss heritage with traditional wine celebrations, distinctive cultural activities with Alpine vibes, and a European-style festival ambiance by the Cam Ranh coast. - September – Moon Festival: the Mid-Autumn atmosphere fills the resort with lantern-making, mooncake tasting, traditional arts performances, and family-friendly experiences under the autumn moonlight. - October – Beer Under the Moonlight Festival: closing the summer journey with Oktoberfest spirit blending with Asian-European culture. Note: Cam Ranh Beach is drier and hotter than Nha Trang, especially from April to August. Visitors should prepare sunscreen, sunglasses, a light jacket, and plenty of water. Long Beach is beautiful but has sections with strong waves and currents, so swimming should not go far from shore. According to Nguyen Phuong.
