During the 30/4–1/5 holiday, while many places are on break, a number of key transportation construction sites in Dong Nai continued work through the holiday, helping accelerate progress.
At Dong Nai’s key transport construction sites, construction activity continued in a steady, intensive rhythm. Machinery and equipment, together with hundreds of engineers and workers on site, leveraged favorable weather to speed up progress. Observers from VTC News reported that at the Ho Chi Minh City Beltway 3 project, dump trucks were lined up delivering materials from early morning, while workers began shifts and carried out planned tasks. In the heat, many fronts maintained three shifts to maximize construction time.
According to a contractor representative, although the number of work fronts during the holiday was not expanded, key sites were kept active to ensure overall project progress.
At Component 1 of the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway project, the working atmosphere remained urgent. After the main route was opened to technical traffic, units focused on completing final items including site cleanliness, road markings, and installation of traffic safety systems. Along the over-crossings, workers continued finishing guardrails and deck surfaces to ensure consistency across the entire line.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Bo, Director of the project operations division of Trung Nam Construction and Equipment JSC, said the main items have been basically completed. During the holiday, some work fronts were maintained to carry out finishing tasks and ensure project quality.
On the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh Expressway, expansion items were accelerated. In conditions of heavy traffic, contractors organized traffic management and used already cleared sections to implement works, minimizing disruption to traffic.
At the Phuoc An bridge construction site, which connects Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City, teams kept fronts stable and worked continuously to increase output and shorten completion time.
A highlight during the holiday was the Long Thanh airport mega-site, where construction continued despite a manpower shortage. Key components—including the passenger terminal, runway, and internal traffic systems—were implemented in a coordinated manner.
The reporting indicates that while each project has its own pace and characteristics, they share an urgent tempo. From beltways and expressways to large bridges and the airport, the continued holiday construction activity is contributing to progress toward completion, supporting the infrastructure network and expanding development space for Dong Nai and the southern economic hub.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
