Da Nang City has announced the Management and Exploitation Plan for unused public housing and land assets to be assigned to the Center for Management and Exploitation of Public Housing for management and exploitation in 2026.
The list of properties to be transferred to the Center comprises 119 facilities with a total area of 135,606.7 square meters.
Within this total, the city specifies:
Leasing will be carried out through auctions or price listing. The Center will determine the leasing method appropriate for each case.
The intended uses are diverse, including offices and public service operation facilities, as well as commercial and service activities such as education and training, healthcare, culture, sports, environmental uses, warehouses, shops, or display spaces to introduce products.
Da Nang said income from leasing the buildings and land, together with fees from telecom facilities installed on the properties and money paid to the state budget, will be studied and supplemented in the Adjustment Decision of the Management and Exploitation Plan for public housing and land.
According to Da Nang City, it currently has 828 unused properties after rearrangement.
Following guidelines from the Ministry of Finance, the Da Nang Department of Finance has advised the City People’s Committee to approve a plan to rearrange and dispose of these facilities. Of the 828 unused facilities, 247 have been repurposed to serve public housing, healthcare, education, and public activities.
For the remaining 581 facilities, the city has assigned the Center for Management and Exploitation of Public Housing, the Center for Land Fund Development, and commune and ward People’s Committees to receive and process them in accordance with regulations. Depending on their current status, the agencies will develop exploitation or leasing plans; where assets can no longer be used, an auction sale will be conducted to reclaim the budget.
Da Nang is also inviting proposals to exploit facilities managed by the City’s Center for Land Fund Development.
Specifically, based on the list of 248 facilities under management by the City Land Fund Development Center in Decision No. 1364/QD-UBND dated 8 April 2026, organizations and individuals interested in proposing efficient exploitation or use to avoid waste may submit applications by 25 April 2026.
Submissions should be delivered to 245 Le Duan Street, Thanh Khê Ward.
