In the morning trading session on April 17, the spread between buy and sell prices of SJC bullion was highest in the market at 4 million VND per tael. The lowest spread belonged to Mi Hồng at 1.5 million VND per tael. For other brands, the buy-sell gap was generally around 3.5 million VND per tael.
The trading price range of 167 million–170.5 million VND per tael (buy–sell) was also posted by DOJI, PNJ, Bảo Tín Minh Châu, Bảo Tín Mạnh Hải, and Phú Quý from market open. Compared with 16/4, this range was down 700 thousand VND per tael on both the buy and sell sides.
For Phú Quý specifically, the bullion buy price fell by 500 thousand VND per tael and the sell price by 700 thousand VND per tael.
In Ho Chi Minh City, Ngọc Thẩm posted the lowest buy price for SJC bullion in the market. As of 10:00, the brand quoted 166.5 million–170.5 million VND per tael (buy–sell), down 1 million VND per tael on both sides compared with the closing price on 16/4.
With three declines and two increases during the morning session, Mi Hồng’s selling price for SJC bullion held at 170.5 million VND per tael. Meanwhile, its buying price was the highest in the market at 169 million VND per tael. Compared with the closing price on 16/4, Mi Hồng’s buy and sell prices were down 500 thousand VND per tael on each side.
