On the afternoon of April 13, at the Headquarters of the Party Central Committee, General Secretary and President To Lam chaired a conference to announce Politburo decisions on cadre work. The decisions cover personnel for multiple central party and state bodies for the 2025–2030 term, including the Central Military Commission, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Secretariat of the Central Agencies Party Committee, and the Secretariat of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations.
The Politburo designated personnel to participate in the Central Military Commission for 2025–2030: 28 members. The Standing Board of the Central Military Commission for 2025–2030 comprises 9 members.
The Politburo designated personnel to participate in the Party Committee of the Central Public Security for 2025–2030: 29 members. The Standing Board of the Central Public Security Party Committee for 2025–2030 comprises 11 members.
The Politburo designated personnel to participate in the Secretariat of the Central Agencies Party Committee for 2025–2030: 45 members. The Standing Board of the Secretariat of the Central Agencies Party Committee for 2025–2030 comprises 22 members.
The Politburo designated personnel to join the Secretariat of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations for 2025–2030: 39 members. The Standing Board of the Secretariat of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations for 2025–2030 comprises 14 members.
At the conference, General Secretary and President To Lam said the party committees receiving these decisions bear a special and heavy responsibility, with direct and broad impact on the Party’s leadership capacity, the implementation of resolutions, and the attainment of strategic objectives in the new situation.
He urged the committees to be absolutely loyal to the Party’s goals and ideals; maintain political resolve, organizational principles, and party life; uphold unity; and set examples in stance, thought, ethics, and work style. He also called for cadres and party members to act as they speak, improve the quality of advisory, leadership, and execution, and place the national interest above all else.
The General Secretary further emphasized strengthening party-building within agencies and units; strictly enforcing discipline and order; improving the quality of party activities; carrying out self-criticism and criticism; and enhancing inspection, supervision, and early prevention of violations. He said cadre work must be fair, objective, and ensure the right people are placed in the right positions, while decisively combating local protectionism and cliques and encouraging cadres to think boldly, act boldly, and take responsibility.
During the conference, representatives of four Party committees accepted their duties. General Phan Van Giang, a Politburo member and Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of National Defense, acknowledged the instructions and tasks and pledged to translate them into concrete plans according to the duties and functions of each committee.
General Giang stressed determination to implement the resolutions of the Party Congresses for 2025–2030 effectively; build a regular, highly capable, modern armed forces; enhance strategic advisory capacity; and promote the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political–social organizations, contributing to the construction and solid defense of the Fatherland.
