The We Are Together festival, a Vietnamese–Korean cultural and music event, is scheduled to take place over two days, 9–10 May 2026, at Suwon Outdoor Theater 1 in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, from 13:00 to 21:00 each day, featuring a range of cultural and artistic activities aimed at the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in Korea. There are currently about 300,000 Vietnamese people studying and participating in economic activities in Korea. In this context, since 2017, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea, the 'We Are One' festival has been held annually and has become a prominent cultural exchange activity for the Vietnamese community in the host country. Over eight editions, the festival has increasingly established itself as a symbolic event promoting cultural exchange between the two nations. Previously, the seventh edition in 2025 was held successfully in Suwon to mark 33 years of Vietnam–Korea diplomatic relations. Inspired by Korea's 'Family Month,' this year's festival focuses on building a connected space, emphasizing family values and sharing within the Vietnamese–Korean community. Within the framework of the event, from 15:00 to 16:00 a talent contest for overseas compatriots will be held, providing an opportunity for the community to directly showcase cultural and artistic talents on a professional stage. Next, from 16:00 to 17:00 there will be soap bubble magic performances and balloon performances for children and families. The highlight of the festival is the night gala concert (18:30–21:00) featuring many renowned artists from both countries. In addition, a Lucky Draw will be held at the end of each day, with many valuable prizes for attendees. The 8th We Are Together festival is not only a cultural-entertainment event but also a message about unity, sharing, and sustainable development of the Vietnamese community in Korea, thereby contributing to strengthening the friendship between the two nations.
