On the evening of April 30, 2026, the Hai Tien Beach Tourism Festival 2026 officially opened at Beach Square, marking the first time the two communes of Hoằng Tiến and Hoằng Thanh collaborated to organize the event. Under the theme “Hai Tien - Aspiration to Reach Far,” the opening ceremony launched the summer travel season with targets of welcoming 2.3 million visitors and generating revenue of 4,700 billion VND, reinforcing Hai Tien’s position as a leading coastal tourism destination in Vietnam’s North Central region.
Situated downstream of the Ma River, Hai Tien stretches 12 kilometers of coastline and is nourished by silt from the Cung River. The area forms two inlets, Lạch Hới and Lạch Trường, and features a diverse landscape of mountains, rivers, plains, and the sea.
Hai Tien combines marine economic potential and fisheries with cultural and historical sites, including the To Hiến Thành shrine, the Old Guerrilla Hero statue in Hoằng Trường, the Lạch Trường spiritual-cultural park, nghè Cáy, Pu Pagoda, Hoi Long Pagoda, and the temple and tomb of General Le Trung Giang.
Once a pristine beach, Hai Tien has been developed into a modern resort tourism complex supported by coordinated transport infrastructure and scenic landscapes. The arrival of Flamingo Hai Tien, a 5-star resort, was highlighted as a milestone in service quality, offering visitors a premium experience.
This year’s festival aims to promote the homeland image while demonstrating a commitment to building Hai Tien into a sustainable, civilized, and modern tourism city—an area that blends blue sea, white sand, sunshine, and centuries-old cultural heritage.
The opening program was staged in three acts, with the narrative centered on renewal, development, and honoring Hai Tien’s beauty. The grand stage, modern sound and lighting, LED screens, and vivid video illustrations created a distinctive and engaging artistic presentation. The program was shared with the public via livestreams on the Thanh Hoa News Agency and Thanh Hoa Radio and Television digital platforms.
Act 1 revisited traditional values through performances including “Proud of Thanh,” “Return to your hometown, brothers,” and “Our love for the sea and the silver sand.”
Act 2 delivered an energetic showcase through songs such as “Remember this trip,” “A thousand Vietnamese dreams,” and medleys including “Làng Bien - Ly Ke Chei,” “Wonderful Summer,” and “Friends, stay with us.” The act portrayed the momentum of economic, tourism, and cultural life in the locality.
Act 3 featured performances including “Fly over the South Sea,” “Let love rise,” “Tide,” and “Carnival Dance - Welcome to Hai Tien today.” Music, dance, and stage effects were used to depict a dynamic Hai Tien, ready to welcome visitors from all directions.
The festival’s opening officially kicked off a series of tourism activities, aimed at boosting demand and promoting the destination to both domestic and international visitors. The event is expected to support a lively summer season and continued growth of Hai Tien on Vietnam’s tourism map.
Hai Tien guests were also noted to be preparing for the 2026 summer tourism season, including beach cleanliness efforts.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
