Hanoi adjusts traffic flow on streets with barriers for flood-prevention project

From 2 April to 31 May, Hanoi authorities will adjust traffic organization on several streets to support construction work to upgrade the capacity of the Trung Tự Lake and Ba Mẫu Lake flood-control facilities in the Kim Liên and Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám wards.

Traffic adjustments for Trung Tự Lake and Ba Mẫu Lake works

On Dang Van Ngữ street, mobile barriers made of portable fencing with reflective posts will be erected in sections. The remaining road width for traffic will be about 8-9 meters, allowing two-way vehicle flow.

On Le Duẩn Street, the section from Ba Mẫu Lake to house number 298 Le Duẩn (about 150 meters long) will be fenced with mobile barriers consisting of steel fencing and B40 mesh in segments. Each segment will have an average length of 8-10 meters, with a barrier width of 4 meters for constructing the box culvert. The remaining road width will be about 10-11 meters to allow two-way traffic through barrier locations.

On Ô Đồng Lâm Street (the segment in front of house 294 Le Duẩn), after erecting mobile barriers, the remaining road width will be about 3-4 meters to accommodate traffic.

Barrier erection schedule

Hanoi Department of Construction requires contractors to erect construction barriers only from 22:00 to 05:00 the following morning. Contractors must restore the road surface structure to ensure safety for traffic from 05:00 to 22:00.

Traffic adjustments for Thụy Phương canal improvement

To support the Thụy Phương canal improvement project in Xuân Đỉnh ward, the Department of Construction will adjust traffic on Trần Cung and Hoàng Minh Thảo streets from 2 April to 31 May.

On Trần Cung Street, fixed barriers using steel fencing with B40 mesh will be installed across the road opposite Đình Hoàng area near alley 488 Trần Cung to construct the box culvert. A temporary road area of 4 meters wide will be established around Đình Hoàng for motorcycle traffic to pass the barrier location.

On Hoàng Minh Thảo Street, fixed barriers using steel fencing with B40 mesh will be placed at the central intersection area with the Hoàng Minh Thảo connecting road from Hoàng Minh Thảo to Đỗ Nhuận to construct a double box culvert.

Authorities will organize vehicle movement for traffic traveling from the connecting road from Hoàng Minh Thảo to Đỗ Nhuận by requiring continuous right turns at the junction and a U-turn on Hoàng Minh Thảo to head toward Võ Chí Công.
