Ho Chi Minh City authorities will review and issue directives to accelerate the compensation, support, and resettlement processes for the Rạch Chiếc National Sports Complex project.
On April 16, Vice Chairman Hoàng Nguyên Đình chaired a meeting with relevant agencies to remove difficulties in the compensation, support, and resettlement components of the project.
Authorities cited gaps in policy and unit-price standards used for compensation, support, and resettlement as major challenges.
The project affects 897 households. The Bình Trưng ward People’s Committee has completed Step 3 (issuing notices to recover land) and is implementing Step 4 (investigation, survey, measurement, and counting).
City departments have been tasked with reviewing and advising adjustments because policy and pricing issues still need to be resolved. The stated target is to complete the review and guidance by April 2026.

In addition, difficulties remain in determining and estimating the exact value of compensation—particularly for cases involving complex assets or constructions in the Rạch Chiếc area—which can affect the timeline for subsequent steps.
The Deputy Chairman directed agencies to coordinate closely, support residents, and avoid forcible land withdrawal while the policy and pricing issues are being addressed.
