HOSE market capitalization fell nearly 11% in March 2026. As of the close of trading on March 31, 2026, the VN-Index stood at 1,674.49 points, the VNAllshare at 1,748.35 points, and the VN30-Index at 1,829.59 points. In March, all three main market indices declined by 10.95%, 9.24%, and 11.26%, respectively.
All sector indices on HOSE posted declines in March 2026. The Information Technology sector index (VNIT), Real Estate sector index (VNREAL), and Energy sector index (VNENE) fell by 19.04%, 14.51%, and 14.21%, respectively.
Liquidity improved month-on-month in March 2026. The market recorded an average daily trading volume of more than 1 billion shares and an average daily value traded of over 30.4 trillion VND, up about 17% in volume and 5.2% in value from the previous month.
Margin CW (Chứng quyền có bảo đảm) activity averaged more than 66.56 million CW per day, with an average daily value of 84.43 billion VND. This represented a decrease of about 4.21% in volume and 34.48% in value versus February 2026.
ETF trading averaged over 4.08 million ETF units per day, with an average daily value exceeding 137.55 billion VND. This corresponded to a 51% increase in volume and a 66% rise in value compared with the prior month.
Foreign investors’ total trading value in March exceeded 175.5 trillion VND, accounting for 13.13% of total market trading value. Foreign investors were net sellers during the month, with a net outflow of over 15.58 trillion VND.
As of March 31, 2026, HOSE had 707 listed and traded securities, including 403 stocks, 4 closed-end funds, 18 ETFs, and 282 warrants. Total listed securities volume exceeded 214.97 billion shares.
The market capitalization of HOSE-listed stocks exceeded 7.87 quadrillion VND, down 10.83% from the prior month. It was equivalent to 61.28% of 2025 GDP and represented more than 94.63% of total market capitalization of listed stocks.
At that time, HOSE had 54 companies with market capitalization above USD 1 billion, including five with market capitalization above USD 10 billion: Vingroup (VIC), Vietcombank (VCB), Vinhomes (VHM), BID (BID), and VietinBank (CTG).
