Thái Bình Ward Police in Hưng Yên Province, in coordination with ACB Bank’s Thái Bình branch, returned 2.1 billion VND that had been mistakenly transferred into the account of Đào Đình Quân (born 1997, resident of Thái Bình) from Nguyễn Đức Mạnh (born 1981, resident of Phú Lâm village, Hương Khê commune, Hà Tĩnh Province).
On 15 April, Quân discovered the transfer and promptly reported it to the police. The police quickly confirmed that the mistaken transfer originated from Mạnh’s account.
On 20 April, the police and the ACB Thái Bình branch completed the return of the funds to Nguyễn Đức Mạnh’s account.
Thái Bình Police commended Quân’s cooperation and honesty, saying the actions reflected humanitarian values and contributed to building a more civilized society.
