On April 17, 2026, at the Vietnam office of the Korea Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (KoCham), a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation between Parata Air and KoCham took place. Under the MOU, the two sides will establish a comprehensive framework for strategic cooperation, focusing on providing aviation service advantages to KoCham members, while boosting market demand through linking the aviation and tourism sectors. Additionally, under the coordination of KoCham’s Culture Committee, the two sides discussed potential areas such as tourism, aviation, travel, golf and the development of new destinations, and discussed possibilities for future joint projects. KoCham is a leading representative organization for the Korean business community in Vietnam, serving as a conduit to support investment activities and promote business cooperation, thus becoming one of the key bridges in the Vietnam–Korea economic relationship. Parata Air currently aims to become a bridge between Vietnam and Korea. The airline currently operates routes to major tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc, and plans to expand its network in the near future. Notably, Parata Air plans to launch a new route to Hanoi on July 13, contributing to improving aviation connectivity and promoting trade and tourism between Vietnam and Korea. The expansion of Parata Air’s network is expected to play a significant role in promoting bilateral tourism, not only by bringing new passengers but also by developing related service sectors toward sustainable growth. The signing occurred in the context of rapidly developing bilateral economic relations, especially ahead of the visit to Vietnam by Korean President Lee Jae-myung on April 22. The event is expected to help boost trade and strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries. “KoCham expects this cooperation model to bring tangible benefits to its members, while contributing to economic and human resources exchanges between the two countries,” said a KoCham representative. “Through this agreement, we expect to strengthen cooperation with the Korean business community in Vietnam, and provide stable, differentiated air services to meet growing demand,” said a Parata Air representative.
