Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly developing an AI clone of himself that could attend internal meetings on his behalf, a move aimed at saving time and improving efficiency, according to the Financial Times.
The development reportedly began around March 24. The project centers on a personal AI agent intended to handle time-consuming tasks and quickly access information.
The core concept is to let Zuckerberg query an AI system that would have knowledge of Meta’s operations and data, reducing the need to route requests through multiple layers of staff.
The initiative, referred to as the “CEO agent,” is also described as aiming to reproduce Zuckerberg’s image and communication style. The system would be used to represent him in situations requiring interaction, including when he is away.
Reporting indicates the AI is being trained on Zuckerberg’s images, voice, communication style, intonation, and public statements to deliver a realistic experience.
The report places the project within Meta’s wider acceleration of its shift toward AI, with multiple initiatives underway. While no completion date has been confirmed, a digital version of Zuckerberg could appear in many internal meetings in the near future.
The report also suggests that interaction with the AI could increase employees’ sense of connection to the founder, even if that connection is mediated through a digital entity.
