From next year, a major regulation affecting all cars nationwide will be scrapped, with traffic authorities shifting from visible inspection stickers to full digital monitoring. Under Decree 89/2026 on the conditions for operating vehicle inspection services, cars participating in traffic from 2027 will no longer need to display an inspection sticker on the windshield.
The change has prompted questions from residents about how the Traffic Police (CSGT) will verify compliance without a visible indicator.
