On April 21, Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB) continued signing a cooperation agreement with the Heart Foundation to expand surgical opportunities for children with congenital heart disease facing difficult circumstances, as part of the bank’s 30th anniversary program.
Since 2023, the collaboration between OCB and the Heart Foundation has helped support timely surgeries for hundreds of pediatric patients, particularly in complex cases such as single-ventricle defects or pulmonary valve stenosis. These cases require intensive medical intervention and involve significant costs. Many children have undergone multiple surgeries, with outcomes supported through the partners’ joint efforts.
Under the cooperation, OCB will continue accompanying the Foundation in its mission to “heal” broken hearts and create more healthy-life opportunities for children in difficult circumstances nationwide.
Mr. Lương Nguyễn Minh Đăng, Director of Retail Banking at OCB, said: “Across its 30 years of development, OCB has remained committed to growth that is effective, safe, and sustainably guided. For us, the true measure of a financial institution’s development is when it walks alongside positive contributions to society. Projects in health, education, and community support have, and will continue to, create lasting positive value for society — and this is the journey that every OCB employee contributes to every day.”
Mr. Phạm Gia Chi Bảo, Chairman and CEO of the Foundation, said: “We greatly value OCB’s support for the Heart Foundation. Over the three years of cooperation, with the bank’s strong backing, the Foundation has gained important resources, accounting for a large share of its activities and bringing new life to hundreds of congenital-heart patients. I believe this collaboration will continue to extend our humanitarian mission, helping more underprivileged children recover and grow healthily.”
Alongside the partnership with the Heart Foundation, OCB has also implemented other programs, including providing financial solutions to build or upgrade educational facilities in mountainous and remote areas and funding scholarships for students.
On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, OCB is rolling out a series of customer appreciation initiatives at an unprecedented scale, including the “Points to Redeem Concert Tickets” program on the OCB OMNI app, running until May 27, 2026. Customers can accumulate points through daily financial activities such as savings, payments, card spending, or participation in insurance products to redeem tickets for the Music Concert OSUNFEST or other gifts. The program is also available at branches nationwide for individuals taking loans or opening term deposits of six months or more, with gifts linked to transaction value and tier.
The OSUNFEST Music Concert is scheduled for June 6, 2026 at Van Phuc City, with expected attendance of about 30,000 people.
In addition, the 2026 OCB Green Race themed “Following the Sunrise” runs from April 11 to June 9, 2026 for all participants. Each step taken will be converted into a donation from OCB to the Heart Foundation to continue supporting new “sunrises” and giving more underprivileged children the chance to live healthier lives.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
