Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of Vingroup, said at the company’s 2026 annual general meeting that if Vingroup is slandered or subjected to false statements, there is a “positive aspect” in that it keeps the group in the public mind. He said such distortions are intended to generate attention by leveraging Vingroup’s fame and credibility.
Vuong also said Vingroup has recently launched a global campaign to sue hundreds of people. He described the campaign as involving civil lawsuits, notifications to relevant authorities, and letters to embassies.
According to a company statement, Vingroup has taken action involving 68 organizations and individuals, both domestically and internationally, that have spread misinformation about the group online.
The press release said the 68 entities include account holders of information pages and personal social media accounts that disseminate false information about Vingroup. The content focuses on four topics:
