AGM season is not only a time for companies to disclose information and approve business plans. In an environment where governance standards and brand image matter more to investors, annual general meetings have increasingly become a strategic stage for executives to demonstrate governance vision, personal presentation, and respect for shareholder rights.
As a result, many firms have shifted toward more “experiential” AGM formats designed to strengthen connections with investors. In these settings, investor attention is drawn not only to growth figures, but also to the leaders seen as the “soul” of the business—whose names and leadership style repeatedly resonate with shareholders.
At AGM Awards 2026, organized by CaféF in collaboration with VIOD, the category “Leadership that Impresses Investors” was created to answer a key question: which leader leaves the deepest impression on investors during the meeting?
Unlike traditional AGMs that often emphasize large shareholders or controlling interests, AGM Awards 2026 gives “soft power” to individual investors. Small shareholders, who previously had limited influence, can directly score and honor the leaders they trust.
For each nomination, readers can vote up to 24 times per day. Each vote requires account verification via Facebook or Google through the program page: https://cafef.vn/agm-awards.chn. An account can vote for multiple nominations across categories. The rules apply from the time the program is posted on the website; they may be amended without notice and take effect from the time updated on the site. The organizers have sole authority to make final decisions on all matters arising from the program.
The following names were highlighted by readers in the “Leadership that Impresses Investors” category:
