PINACO, the Southern Battery Joint Stock Company, has formally unveiled its strategic vision as it approaches its 50th anniversary (1976–2026), outlining a “two-digit growth” approach in the global green-energy era.
Founded in 1976 during the early days of reconstruction, PINACO was established to supply essential energy to the nation. Over more than five decades, the company’s “Con Ó” battery image and the Dong Nai battery factory have become familiar in Vietnam, serving households across the country.
The company attributes its long-term resilience to a consistent philosophy centered on quality. PINACO states it has been repeatedly voted by consumers as Vietnamese high-quality goods for 30 consecutive years. Since 2012, it has been recognized by the Government as a National Brand (Vietnam Value).
PINACO also cites international certifications including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Ford Q1 as key to building trust with global customers.
Beyond its retail business, PINACO positions itself as a reputable original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for leading automobile and motorcycle producers worldwide. The company lists partners including Honda, Yamaha, Piaggio, Suzuki, VinFast, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, THACO, and Kim Long Motor.
PINACO says its products have carried Vietnamese energy internationally and are currently present in 46 countries and territories, providing a basis for its next strategic phase.
In its next phase, PINACO targets two-digit growth, emphasizing “mastering core technologies and innovation” as the key direction for accelerating robust growth in the green-energy era.
PINACO’s 50th anniversary celebration is scheduled for 19 April 2026 at White Palace, Vo Van Kiet Street, Ward An Lac, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City.
As part of its “people are the most valuable asset” principle, PINACO has launched an internal gratitude campaign, gifting more than 1,000 VinFast electric motorcycles to employees with at least two years of service.
