On May 7, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Oil and Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PVOIL) and Global Charging Station Development JSC (V-Green) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to install more than 3,000 battery-swapping cabinets across PVOIL’s nationwide network of fuel stations.
Under the cooperation, in May 2026 the two sides will survey and deploy electric motorcycle battery-swapping cabinets and electric car charging stations at nearly 1,000 PVOIL gas stations nationwide. The companies expect nearly 3,000 battery-swapping cabinets to be completed by June 2026.
The signing was attended by Mr. Nguyen Duc Vinh, Deputy General Director of Operations, and Ms. Do Thi Thanh, Director of Network Development, from V-Green. From PVOIL, the participants included Mr. Nguyen Dang Trinh, General Director; Mr. Le Trung Hung, Deputy General Director; and Mr. Mai Trung Thanh, Director of PVOIL Trans, the unit responsible for deploying the battery-swapping cabinets, along with representatives from relevant departments.
According to the agreement, PVOIL and V-Green previously cooperated to deploy and operate nearly 400 VinFast EV charging stations combined with battery-swapping cabinets at PVOIL gas stations, with both companies reporting positive business results.
In the near future, the partners said they plan to extend the battery-swap cabinet network across PVOIL’s entire system.
The companies described the initiative as a step in Vietnam’s energy transition toward greener and more sustainable energy, while also improving infrastructure for electric-vehicle users.
Do Thi Thanh, Network Development Director of V-Green, said: “The green urban transport expansion will be strengthened with PVOIL’s partnership. The presence at nearly 1,000 PVOIL gas stations nationwide is our commitment to delivering the most convenient charging and battery-swap infrastructure for VinFast EV users, helping Vietnam become a leader in charging and battery-swap density in the region and the world.”
Lê Trung Hung, Deputy General Director of PVOIL, added: “Beyond traditional oil products, PVOIL invests in non-fuel services at its gas stations; collaborating with V-Green to expand charging and battery-swap networks is a concrete step in adapting to the ongoing energy-transition trend and demonstrates the effectiveness of the PVOIL–V-Green partnership.”
V-Green currently operates about 150,000 electric-car charging ports across 34 provinces and cities. With nearly 1,000 PVOIL gas stations nationwide included in the rollout, PVOIL is expected to continue developing integrated energy infrastructure supporting Vietnam’s energy transition toward green and sustainable development.
