Schneider Electric has officially launched EcoStruxure Building Operation Gen 7, the latest version of its smart building management platform. The company says all customers worldwide, including in Vietnam, can upgrade now. The platform is positioned as the “heart” of building management systems, helping facilities modernize operations and improve efficiency as energy, labor and budgets face increasing constraints.
Schneider Electric cites that buildings account for up to 37% of global CO2 emissions. In response to climate change, many countries are working to optimize building operating performance. Alongside emissions reduction, the company highlights the need to lower operating costs and improve user experiences.
In Vietnam, Schneider Electric links rising demand for smart building design and operation to rapid urbanization and the country’s commitment to Net Zero by 2050. It also notes two key challenges faced by developers and building managers: complex management systems with many options, and a shortage of skilled professionals.
EcoStruxure Building Operation Gen 7 is designed to integrate multiple operating systems—including HVAC, lighting, security and energy—so that managers can collect, analyze and manage data from a single control interface. Schneider Electric says this enables performance optimization, energy savings, reduced operating costs and improved user comfort.
The company also states that Gen 7 supports future readiness through numerous systems and IoT devices, storage options, and AI and machine learning capabilities.
Schneider Electric frames Gen 7 as a response to both technical and operational needs in smart buildings—aiming to streamline system integration, shorten deployment timelines, and strengthen security while supporting energy optimization and improved user comfort.
