Three banks—LPBank, Techcombank, and VPBank—have issued joint announcements on record dates for cash dividend payments to shareholders in May. Combined, the three banks plan to distribute nearly 18,000 billion VND in cash dividends.
LPBank plans to allocate about 8,962 billion VND for cash dividends, representing a 30% payout, equivalent to 3,000 VND per share.
The closing date to determine eligible shareholders is May 15, 2026, with payment expected on May 25, 2026. With nearly 3 billion shares outstanding, the distribution is described as one of the largest cash dividend payments in the banking sector in years.
Techcombank plans to pay more than 4,960 billion VND in cash dividends, representing a 7% payout, equivalent to 700 VND per share.
The closing date to enjoy rights is May 20, 2026, and payment is expected on June 10, 2026. The bank’s cash dividend policy is noted as the third consecutive year it has maintained a cash dividend after earlier years of retaining earnings to bolster capital.
VPBank has announced May 18, 2026 as the record date to determine shareholders entitled to the 2025 cash dividend. The ex-dividend date is May 15.
Under the approved plan, VPBank will pay cash dividends at 5%, or 500 VND per share. With nearly 8 billion shares outstanding, the bank expects to pay about 4,000 billion VND. Payment is expected on May 25, 2026.
Beyond the three banks above, four other banks—MB, ACB, SHB, and VIB—also plan cash dividends in 2026.
MB is expected to pay about 8,055 billion VND in cash dividends at 10% (1,000 VND per share). The bank will also issue more than 1.2 billion shares as stock dividends at 15% to strengthen its capital base.
ACB’s shareholders approved a total dividend plan of 20%, including about 3,600 billion VND in cash (7%) and more than 6,600 billion VND in stock (13%), for a total of over 10,000 billion VND.
SHB is projected to distribute a total 16% dividend (6% cash and 10% stock). The total payout is about 8,550 billion VND, of which cash is around 3,206 billion VND.
VIB’s shareholders approved a 2025 dividend plan of 9% cash plus 9.5% stock. With a payout of more than 3,000 billion VND, VIB is described as one of the few banks maintaining a steady cash dividend policy in recent years.
