SHB’s 2026 annual general meeting (AGM) is expected to be attended by about 4,000 registered shareholders, a turnout that stands out compared with recent bank AGMs, which typically draw only hundreds to around a thousand attendees in person. SHB said it sent messages to shareholders this morning, noting that if a shareholder cannot attend in person for objective reasons, the company will still deliver all meeting materials and gifts to registered shareholders using the information provided in their listed shareholder accounts (account numbers and bank names).
As of 2:00 PM, SHB reported 2,818 registered attendees, equivalent to 57.05% of total voting shares. Of this number, 1,987 shareholders attended in person, while 831 attended by proxy. By 2:45 PM, the number of in-person attendees had risen to nearly 3,000, representing more than 160,000 shareholders of SHB.
At this year’s event, SHB again increased the gift to 200,000 VND per shareholder participant. The company also reiterated that shareholders unable to attend in person for objective reasons would still receive materials and gifts through the registered shareholder information on file.
A side detail drew attention at the check-in area: a congratulatory bouquet labeled “SpaceX - Tesla congratulate SHB’s Annual General Meeting,” with a line referencing Elon Musk in the role “Chairman – CEO.” The bouquet was placed at the check-in area.
