On April 4, FLC Group held a groundbreaking ceremony in Dak Đoa commune, Gia Lai province, for the Dak Đoa resort and golf complex project. The development features a 36-hole golf course and is set to require nearly 20,000 billion VND in total investment.
At the ceremony, Mr. Trịnh Văn Quyết, Chairman of FLC, was presented with the song “Tái Sinh” by singer Tung Duong.
Following the opening remarks, the Dak Đoa golf course project was launched with a total investment of 1,150 billion VND. For this phase, the project was assigned to a new corporate entity—Ion Complex Investment and Management Company, Ltd., a member of FLC—to implement the work, with the stated aim of overcoming previous obstacles and accelerating progress.
Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Quế, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai’s People’s Committee, said the project is strategically important for the province’s development of premium tourism. He noted that while Gia Lai has diverse natural scenery and rich indigenous culture, it currently lacks large-scale resort complexes capable of attracting high-end visitors.
Gia Lai reported that in 2025 it welcomed about 12.4 million visitors with revenue of nearly 29,000 billion VND. The 2026 target is 15 million visitors, which requires tourism projects to advance infrastructure and products. In this context, the Dak Đoa golf course is expected to become a tourism highlight and support development in the western part of the province, contributing to a modern, sustainable urban space.
According to Huong Tran Kieu Dung, Standing Chairwoman of FLC, the project will include a 36-hole international-standard golf course and a modern resort town with multiple facilities. FLC said it will develop the project in line with the “green tourism” direction, aiming to preserve nature, respect local culture, and build long-term value.
It is also noted that the Dak Đoa urban resort and golf complex is the first international-standard golf-linked resort project in the Central Highlands region.
The project covers about 517 hectares with total investment of nearly 20,000 billion VND. It is located at the gateway to Pleiku, connected to the airport and the provincial administrative center. The plan includes residential areas, villas, ecotourism parks, sports facilities, and a shopping center. The main highlight is a 36-hole golf course spanning more than 171 hectares.
Mr. Trịnh Văn Quyết, founder and former Chairman of FLC, reappeared as Chairman at a Gia Lai event on March 27, 2026, after nearly four years away from the company’s top leadership. Since late January 2026, he has also been observed at multiple FLC business activities and partnership events.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
