With travel demand rising during the 30/4–1/5 holiday period, preparing suitable financial tools is becoming a common trend to help travelers optimize costs and control spending. BVBank says its promotional payment cards and the Digimi digital banking platform are designed to support customers in managing budgets proactively while improving the overall travel experience.
BVBank’s credit card is positioned as a way for customers to take advantage of promotions on international travel platforms. The bank states that when booking airline tickets on Trip.com, users can receive discounts of up to 30%, up to 1 million VND. For hotel bookings on Agoda, BVBank says customers receive a daily discount of 10% and up to 15% (maximum 700,000 VND) on Fridays.
Beyond direct discounts, BVBank also highlights additional value from cashback programs, reward points, and prize drawings associated with opening the card.
Ms. Minh Anh (32), a marketing staff member in Ho Chi Minh City, said that in the past she often booked services closer to the travel date, when costs rose significantly. She attributed her savings to using BVBank to book early and take advantage of promotions, adding that it also helped her budget more proactively.
BVBank also points to the way small day-to-day expenses can accumulate during trips, including spending on meals, transportation, shopping, and sightseeing. Without a management tool, it says total costs can exceed the planned budget.
According to BVBank, its card lines offer daily spending incentives, including cashback up to 20% on shopping, dining, or services. The bank also notes that installment features can help distribute costs more reasonably, particularly for longer trips or higher-end experiences.
Alongside card promotions, BVBank’s Digimi digital banking platform is described as enabling users to conduct financial transactions such as transfers, bill payments, and budgeting directly on their mobile phones. BVBank says this can make trip preparation more seamless, reduce risk, and save time.
Mr. Hoang Long (28), a freelancer in Hanoi, said that since using BVBank cards and Digimi, he rarely needs to carry cash. He added that transactions are displayed in the app, making it easier to monitor spending and stay within budget.
For unplanned costs, BVBank states that Digimi offers online installment or quick unsecured loans to help maintain cash flow without interrupting the travel experience.
Digimi is also presented as a comprehensive financial management tool, with real-time expense tracking, transaction categorization, and the ability to review spending history so users can adjust budgets throughout the journey.
Ms. Thu Trang (35), an online store owner in Da Nang, said she reviews all transactions on Digimi after each trip to learn from them, helping her be more proactive and avoid overspending on subsequent trips.
BVBank frames the combination of payment cards and digital banking as not only providing short-term convenience but also helping travelers build a smarter financial habit over time. In its view, the difference between a stressful trip and a fully enjoyable journey can depend on preparation—owning the right payment tools and using digital banking to manage expenses, optimize costs, and handle unforeseen situations.
BVBank says experts recommend preparing financial tools early, including opening a Digimi account, selecting card types that match spending needs, and using promotions to optimize travel costs.
