Vega City, a coastal urban complex where culture, art, and entertainment intersect, is positioning itself as a destination model built around integrated, multi-layered experiences rather than a traditional holiday. The project aims to create an “experience hub” along the bay, offering visitors emotional touchpoints throughout their journey.
Vietnam’s travel season 2026 is seeing a strong rebound in visitors, particularly in coastal areas. Alongside rising visitor numbers, traveler behavior is changing: demand is moving away from choosing destinations mainly for scenery or service quality and toward more comprehensive experiences.
Instead of seeking only accommodation, travelers increasingly want to participate, immerse themselves, and feel the journey in a more personalized way. This supports the growth of “all-in-one” models that integrate lodging, culture, entertainment, and community connection within a single space to deliver emotional value across the trip.
The trend aligns with the “Experience Economy,” described by Forbes as a decisive factor for the next generation of tourism real estate. In this framework, a destination’s appeal is measured not only by its product or services, but by its ability to generate memories and lasting engagement that encourage repeat visits.
Globally, many coastal cities have moved from standalone development toward multi-functional integrated spaces where events, activities, and connectivity form the core of the tourism ecosystem. In Vietnam, this approach is increasingly shaping development, especially in coastal resort destinations.
Nha Trang is among the cities showing a clear shift. Beyond leveraging natural advantages, the city is adding new layers of value that broaden how visitors explore and experience the destination.
Internationally, Nha Trang has also been highlighted on travel maps. Travel Nine (Australia) recently ranked Nha Trang among destinations that families “always want to return to,” indicating that the city’s appeal extends beyond scenery to wider engagement.
To meet the new travel demand, Nha Trang is developing integrated spaces where multiple layers of activities are organized within a single ecosystem. Among these projects, Vega City—developed by KDI Group—is gradually forming as a destination model drawing attention.
Vega City covers 44 hectares and is oriented toward the sea. It is designed as an integrated beachfront complex that combines lodging with diverse bay-side activities, integrating multiple value layers including lodging, culture, arts, and entertainment. With its planned layout, bay-front location, and an amenity ecosystem, the project is intended to operate continuously and serve varied visitor needs.
Vega City is positioned as an all-in-one model that integrates functions within one space rather than developing them separately.
To reinforce the destination’s experience-led concept, KDI Group invests in landmark structures intended to shape visitor perception. The Đó Theater is presented as an artistic highlight, featuring performances such as Rối Mơ and Chum Show. Van San Dao Coral Park is linked to conservation values and exploration of the marine ecosystem.
In addition, public spaces and coastal services are developed to complement amenities and support event hosting. Vega City also aims to provide international-standard infrastructure capable of hosting large-scale events, contributing to elevating Nha Trang’s tourism profile.
This April, Vega City plans to roll out notable programs including artistic performances, community activities, and sea experiences. The series is described as an opening set of events marking the 10th anniversary of KDI Group, while also laying groundwork for future programs to be expanded and refreshed.
KDI Group is a multi-sector conglomerate operating across real estate, entertainment, resort tourism, cruises, luxury interiors, agriculture, and education. The company aims to build a multi-industry ecosystem linked to experiences, quality of life, and sustainable contributions to the community.
One of its highlighted projects is the Vega City coastal urban complex, located in Duong De Hamlet, Bai Tien, Bac Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
