Vietnam is the leading production base for Adidas leather footwear, accounting for a 41% share of the company’s total leather footwear output, according to Adidas’ 2025 reporting. The German sportswear maker also reported strong financial results for 2025, despite macro risks and tariff pressures.
Adidas said net sales rose 13% to 24.8 billion euros, the highest level in five years. Operating profit increased 54% to 2.06 billion euros, while net income climbed 67% to 1.38 billion euros.

Adidas projects that operating profit in 2026 will rise to 2.3 billion euros.

For leather footwear specifically, Vietnam accounts for 41% of Adidas’ total leather production, the highest share. For clothing produced in Vietnam, Adidas reported a 18% share, behind Cambodia at 20%.
