Vietnam has opened a new stadium in Hà Giang as part of the Hà Giang Sports and Cultural Complex project. The stadium has a capacity of about 10,000 seats.
According to the province’s electronic information portal, the Hà Giang Sports and Cultural Complex project was inaugurated on the afternoon of April 29. The project is described as a key initiative to complete the province’s cultural and sports infrastructure, serving recreation, physical training, and efforts to improve people’s spiritual life.
The project was approved by the provincial People’s Committee in 2020, with total investment of over 342 billion đồng from the local budget. The facility is built with a synchronized scale, including a stadium of about 10,000 seats, along with technical infrastructure, traffic systems and auxiliary components. The complex is intended to meet requirements to host large-scale cultural and sports activities in the province.
The photo caption accompanying the announcement states: “View of the Hà Giang Sports and Cultural Complex has been completed and put into use.”
Hà Giang province said that after implementation—despite difficulties including weather, pandemic impacts, and site clearance bottlenecks—the project completed 100% of its work according to design. The province noted that the project ensures quality, technical standards, and readiness for operation.
Provincial leadership emphasized that cultural and human development is viewed as a foundation. The aim is to完善 the system of cultural and sports facilities from the provincial level down to grassroots areas, meeting needs for activities and physical training while enhancing people’s spiritual life. Leaders also said the effort supports narrowing the cultural living gap between regions toward comprehensive and sustainable development.
Officials also stated that completing and putting the Hà Giang Complex into use is important for concretizing central and provincial guidelines. They added that the project leverages public investment to lead and create development space, helping mobilize social resources for culture and sports.
The Hà Giang Sports and Cultural Complex project is expected to become a landmark in the province’s cultural and sports infrastructure, contributing to a modern community living environment and promoting comprehensive and sustainable development in the new period.
