Vietstock Weekly (06-10/04/2026) reported a recovery in the VN-Index during the week, but turnover stayed below the 20-week average, pointing to continued caution among investors. The report said that if liquidity does not improve soon, the market is likely to remain choppy and range-bound in the near term.
In the weekly frame (30/03–03/04/2026), the VN-Index continued to rebound. However, trading volume remained below the 20-week average, suggesting investors have not fully shifted out of a cautious mindset.
The mid-term outlook faces challenges because the index remains below the Bollinger Bands’ Middle line. In addition, the MACD and Stochastic indicators have continued to weaken after prior selling signals.
The report added that if liquidity does not improve soon, volatility and consolidation are likely to persist until a clearer trend emerges.
On 03/04/2026, the VN-Index showed a Three Black Crows pattern, reflecting a not-optimistic mood among investors. Despite this, the index remained above the middle line of the Bollinger Bands.
The Stochastic Oscillator continued to rise after a buy signal, indicating that the short-term rebound still has some viability. At the same time, trading volume stayed below the 20-day average while the Bollinger Bands narrowed, which the report said increases the likelihood of continued range-bound movement with alternating up and down sessions in the near term.
For the HNX-Index, the ADX indicator continued to weaken. On 03/04/2026, the index declined and formed a Three Black Crows pattern after failing to break through the 50-day SMA.
Trading volume fluctuated across recent sessions, signaling unstable investor sentiment. The Bollinger Bands continued to narrow and the ADX remained on a weakening path, approaching the gray zone (20).
