Vinaconex has completed a large-scale divestment at Viwaseen, transferring more than 35.4 million VIW shares between May 28 and June 10, 2026. The transferred volume represents 61.01% of Viwaseen’s charter capital. Following the transaction, Vinaconex’s ownership in Viwaseen decreased from 86.01% to 25%, and Viwaseen is no longer a subsidiary of VCG.
During the same period, around 36.12 million VIW shares were transferred via private deals with a total value close to 809 billion VND. Based on an average price of approximately 22,500 VND per share, Vinaconex could realize about 796 billion VND from the divestment.
This move aligns with Vinaconex’s plan to reduce its stake in Viwaseen. Previously, from April 23 to May 22, the company sold nearly 6.7 million VIW shares out of more than 42 million registered. Due to market conditions, the full divestment could not be completed, and Vinaconex remained at 86.01% ownership.
On the buyer side, CTCP An Quý Hưng Holding completed the transfer of more than 13.3 million VIW shares on May 28. This increased its stake from 0% to 23%, making it a major shareholder of Viwaseen.
An Quý Hưng Holding was established in October 2025 with a charter capital of 500 billion VND. Notably, Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Đông, Chairman of Vinaconex, is a controlling shareholder of this company, holding 79.2% of its capital. The remaining founders include Ms. Đỗ Thị Thanh (19.2%) and Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Tùng, CEO (1.6%).
Vinaseen’s shareholder structure may continue to shift, as CTCP Đầu tư BNE has registered to buy 14.2 million VIW shares between June 10 and July 9 through on-market and/or negotiated trades. BNE is a newly formed entity as of June 2, 2026, with a charter capital of 330 billion VND and operations in renewable energy.
BNE is based in Hanoi. Mr. Phan Quang Khải, currently a member of the Viwaseen board, serves as Chairman and owns 40% of the charter capital. The other two founders are Mr. Le Van Tinh and Ms. Đỗ Thị Huyền Trang, each holding 30%.
In the market, VIW shares attracted attention as they hit the ceiling in back-to-back sessions on June 9 and 10, rising about 26% over two days. However, on June 12 the stock reversed and closed at 28,700 VND per share.
At the current price, Viwaseen’s market capitalization stands at about 1,665 billion VND.
