On June 16, 2026, the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court dismissed all appeals by Dang Thi Hue, upholding the prior ruling of the Hanau Regional Court in a case involving Vingroup and Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong. Because Dang Thi Hue resides in Germany, the matter was handled by a German court.
Under the judgment, Dang Thi Hue must remove all content and images deemed defamatory of Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong. The court also ordered her to pay all trial costs and VinFast’s lawyers’ fees.
The court further stated that if she continues to violate the ruling, she could face administrative penalties of up to €250,000 for each violation, or imprisonment ranging from 6 months to 2 years.
The court also emphasized that images created with AI or digitally edited must still comply with personal rights laws. It noted that Mr. Vuong has the right to demand suppression of related publications when there is no consent. The decision is final, meaning Dang Thi Hue has no further right to appeal and the judgment takes effect immediately.
Dang Thi Hue is one of 68 organizations and individuals sued by Vingroup since September 2025 for disseminating false information, distortion, and fabrication about the group and its leadership.
In a related development, the court also addressed costs in another case involving Mr. Le Trung Khoa, who had to pay more than €2,118 in fees. This included more than €1,100 in litigation costs and more than €1,017 in VinFast Germany GmbH’s attorney fees. The court found that some of Mr. Khoa’s accusations against Vingroup and VinFast were unfounded and not proven, and that they harmed the corporate reputation of VinFast Germany GmbH.
According to the report, after more than nine months since Vingroup announced the lawsuit against 68 organizations and individuals, about 74% had proactively removed infringing content, posted public apology videos, and pledged not to reoffend.
Among those actions, more than 50 YouTube channels, Facebook pages, and TikTok accounts reportedly admitted fault and remedied the consequences within 24 hours of Vingroup’s announcement of the lawsuit.
The report also cited domestic media and social media channel owners, including THYTV, Tony Phèn TV, and Bóc mẽ tài chính mõm…, which reportedly apologized to VinFast/Vingroup, compensated for damages, and/or faced administrative penalties for spreading false information on social networks.
The crypto bear market remained in force on Wednesday, with bitcoin slipping back toward the $60,000 area. Sharp pullbacks in gold and oil also weighed on the 2025 “debasement trade,” which had supported hard assets amid concerns about government debt and fiat currencies. Meanwhile, tech—particularly the AI boom—continued…
